Recuva
 Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware Windows utility to restore
files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This
includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other
files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory
cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been
deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses! Recuva is a new file recovery tool that will unerase files that you
have mistakenly deleted from your computer. It's fast, small and will
run from a USB drive. It also supports most digital cameras card
formats, so you can restore those images you accidentally deleted! download
AxCrypt
 Easy to use strong file encryption, integrated with Windows Explorer.
Encrypt, compress, decrypt, wipe, view and edit with a few mouse
clicks. Cryptographic primitives are AES-128 and SHA-1. A combination
of strong symmetric encryption with compression and double-click
editing/viewing. Encrypted files have a .AXX extension added to their
names, and are shown with a new icon. AxCrypt has passed the Microsoft
Platform Test for ISV Solutions at VeriTest. Testing was conducted

Cobian Backup
 Is a multi-threaded program that can be used to schedule
and backup your files and directories from their original location to
other directories/drives in the same computer or other computer in your
network. FTP backup is also supported in both directions (download and
upload). Cobian Backup exists in two different versions: application
and service. The program uses very few resources and can be running on
the background on your system, checking your backup schedule and
executing your backups when necessary. Cobian Backup is not a normal
backup application: it only copies your files and folders in original
or compressed mode to other destination, creating a security copy as a

 Is a popular set of freeware file-splitting programs created by
Freebyte.com in collaboration with various programmers. It splits files
of any type and size. Does not need to be installed. Just click on
hjsplit.exe and the program starts. This program can even handle files
which are larger than 10Gb! HJSplit is standalone, very reliable,
simple, small and easy to use. It does not need any installation or
complicated DLLs, it just consists of one '.exe' file. This means that
you can also run it directly from a floppy or CD-Rom. HJSplit will enable you to split the large file into smaller
chunks, which can be much more easily sent and stored. E.g. HJSplit
allows you to split a 10 Gb file into 640 Mb parts, which can then be
stored onto CD-Rom's by your CD-writer software. download

 DeleteOnClick completely deletes files in one click rather than sending
the file to the recyle bin . DeleteOnClick Freeware - The program is implemented as a new context
menu in Windows Explorer (right-click on a file or folder to securely
delete it). The data becomes unrecoverable. DeleteOnClick Freeware follows the U.S. DOD
5220.22-M secure file deletion standard. For this reason you must use
this program carefully. Once a file is ´Securely Deleted´ no one can
undelete it. It is freeware. download
Copy Muppy
 This simple freeware application makes backing up files a no-brainer,
but it doesn't really go beyond its primary job. Copy Muppy's no-frills
interface allows users to quickly browse and select folders to back up,
and choose a destination directory. You can use filters to specify
which files to back up, but that's the extent of Copy Muppy's extras.
It doesn't include a scheduler, or encrypt or compress backup files,
features that are fairly common in the class, even in some other
freeware applications. All things considered, novices and casual users
might like this straightforward utility, but it probably doesn't have
the feature set for more advanced users. download
