Paint.NET
 Paint.NET is free image editing and photo manipulation software
designed to be used on computers that run Windows. It supports layers,
unlimited undo, special effects, and a wide variety of useful and
powerful tools. It started development as an undergraduate college
senior design project mentored by Microsoft, and is currently being
maintained by some of the alumni that originally worked on it.
Originally intended as a free replacement for the MS Paint software
that comes with Windows, it has grown into a powerful yet simple tool
for photo and image editing. The programming language used to create
Paint.NET is C#, with a small amount of C++ for installation and
shell-integration related functionality. download

 GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed
piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition
and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many
languages. It has many capabilities. It can be used as a simple paint program, an
expert quality photo retouching program, an online batch processing
system, a mass production image renderer, an image format converter,
etc. GIMP is expandable and extensible. It is designed to be augmented
with plug-ins and extensions to do just about anything. The advanced
scripting interface allows everything from the simplest task to the
most complex image manipulation procedures to be easily scripted. download

 Is versatile digital-image processing software suitable for
such tasks as retouching photographs, composing and authoring images,
image morphing, screen capture, and displaying image thumbnails in the
Windows Explorer context menu. It supports alpha, layer, path, and the
most common editing techniques. PaintStar has many of the tools and
filters you would expect to find in similar commercial offerings, and

 Is an all-in-one software for software developers, graphic designers and home user. It
has an intuitive interface and simple, elegant operation. After
starting the software, you simply select one of the tool from the
PicPick Tools trayicon menu when you want. It
features a powerful capture tool, image editor, color picker, color
palette, pixel ruler, protractor, crosshair, whiteboard and etc. You
can use all these tools freely. PicPick is portable ware, so you don't need any installation. And, this is distributed as Freeware. So you may use this software on any number of computers for as long as you like. download
 Advanced image editing, enhancement and analysis software. The program
contains both most image enhancement features found in conventional
image editors plus a number of advanced features not even available in
professional photo suites. Easy to use program, better to use than Microsoft Photo Editor and a lot more flexible too! It downloads, installs and uninstalls without a problem. New version updated expression feature
(default expression is lens distortion correction), lightest/darkest
only option in Fade opacity dialog, set image gamma option for proper
interpolation in resize, rotate, smooth, invert and convert to

 Use Iconoid to hide your desktop icons when your cursor is not on the
desktop so that you can see your desktop wallpaper. Also, make your
desktop icon backgrounds transparent or change the color of the text or
background. Save and restore icon positions and Hide windows quickly.
Iconoid can be hidden or it can live in the system tray. Other features
as well. Very customizable. Not resource intensive. Automatically or manually select the best color for the text background. Quickly minimize all windows so that you can see your desktop wallpaper. download
ActivIcons
 Makes it simple to change properties for various
icons on your Windows desktop and in Explorer, plus attributes for many
other desktop settings. You can save and restore the desktop layout,
repair corrupted icons, increase the size of the Windows icon cache to
prevent future problems, and much more. You can substitute your own icons for the standard Windows icons and cursors. In fact, ActivIcons goes through your Registry and lists out all of the icons found there, so that you can change those as well. You can even use ActivIcons to display animated icons on your desktop, or make the icon text labels transparent. Bevel. Some sample documents are included. No installation required. Nice icon editor, that can handle animated cursors. also usable as a
general purpose img editor! It works with 1024x1024 files relatively

 MWSnap is a small yet powerful Windows program for snapping (capturing)
images from selected parts of the screen. Current version is capable of
capturing the whole desktop, a highlighted window, an active menu, a
control, or a fixed or free rectangular part of the screen. MWSnap
handles five most popular graphics formats and contains several
graphical tools: a zoom, a ruler, a color picker, and a window spy. It
can be also used as a fast picture viewer or converter. MWSnap does not
require installation and does not need any special DLLs, drivers, or
system files, which can mess up your system. download
TipCam
 TipCam got the basics of screen recording and it has a few tricks all its own.
You'll be able to start, pause, delete, and preview your screencasts
from the small recording controls window, even draw on annotations
while you record. Brilliantly, if you press the hot key to zoom in, the
zoom window will follow your mouse until or unless you lock it in
place. Unfortunately, the TipCam control panel doesn't do so well. If
you're not careful, it might inadvertently star in your screencast.
After you become familiar with the icons, it's best two switch to mini
mode.
You can configure TipCam to capture your audio recordings, as well.
While there's no post-production studio for cleaning up audio if you
mess up, you can rerecord your narrative with the voice-over tool. download
RocketDock RocketDock is a program that lets you organize your short-cuts and
running tasks onto an extremely customizable dock that sits on your
desktop. RocketDock is a smoothly animated, alpha blended application launcher
that is similar to ObjectDock. It provides a nice clean interface to
drop shortcuts on for easy access and organization. With each item
completely customizable there is no end to what you can add and launch
from the dock. Now with added Taskbar support your minimized windows
can appear as icons on the dock. This allows for better productivity
and accessibility. download
